The Changing Face of Science
While in 'theory' women candidates for tenure-track STEM positions don't face biases -- reality and numbers say that creating equitable career paths for women in STEM has more challenges to overcome.
Looking at the numbers for one point in the pipeline - earning a PhD - shows that the growth of women earning PhDs in STEM disciplines has significantly outstripped their male counterparts. For Biological disciplines, the total number of women earning PhDs has been greater than men since 2009.
